Jesse Cole goes Bananas answering our questions

Savannah Bananas Owner Jesse Cole

In each issue of my twice-monthly Frictionless newsletter, I ask influencers to answer questions about their business and personal lives.

So, I sent a note inviting Jesse Cole, the founder and owner of the Savannah Bananas, to participate. The team’s About Page says, “We challenge the way things are supposed to be. We play Banana Ball -– the fastest and most entertaining game of baseball. Our players perform choreographed dances every game – Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Toby Keith – You name it, they've danced to it.”

After a bit of vetting by Executive Rock Star (assistant) Renee Jacobs, I received a 3:14 video with his terrific answers.

The fact that he responded should serve as a reminder to everyone trying to ask better questions that “much is lost for want of asking,” as the English proverb says (and my negotiations mentor Ron Shapiro reinforced over and over again).

Here’s a link to Jesse’s answers.

My favorites have to do with his “go-to questions, what’s inspiring him, how he gets back on track when he’s distracted, and his “favorite failure.”

In addition, here’s a link to a post I published I wrote last year after reading his terrific book, Fans First.
